Outreach&Missions

Life to its fullest:

We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well,

because you had become so dear to us. 1 Thessalonians 2:8
We are convinced that the kind of life Jesus had in mind when He spoke of “life to its fullest” is available now.

We venture into places where help is needed, both locally and globally, and depend upon Jesus for guidance. What amazing things are and will be done by living out our faith.

The people of NECC want to steward their human, spiritual, technical, and financial resources into some time-bound measurable goals. By working toward those objectives we hope to really experience, demonstrate and share life to its fullest in Christ.

Local Missions:

The 1010 Project
In John 10:10 it says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
Living life to the fullest is important to us at NECC and we know that one way we can live a full life is by pouring into others. The 1010 Project is all about our faith being lived out and pouring into our community. Last year we dedicated 10.10.10 (the whole day) to serving and impacting our community with Jesus' love by giving our time, energy and resources in several different ways.

This year 1010 day is on a Monday. Step outside yourself and impact the lives of those around you by answering the question, "How can I simply serve you today?" Check out our top ten list below for some ideas or use the day to create your own. This is your opportunity to put your faith into action.

1. Tak a small collection of quarters and purchase laundry for someone.
2. Buy lunch for someone in need.
3. Go to an elderly home and spend time listening & providing company to those who don't get visitors.
4. Purchase someone's gas.
5. Make "Have a Nice Day" cards and stick them on people's desk.
6. Let someone in line go in front of you.
7. Do some fix-it work for a neighbor in need.
8. Clean up litter on your street.
9. Pay the toll for the person behind you.
10. Purchase flowers & pass them out on your way to work or to co-
workers.

Bouten St.

Every Wednesday morning at 8AM a small group from our church community takes breakfast down to the children waiting for the bus at Bouten St. Park, South Norwalk. It's a great way to get to know kids and their parents/guardians and build relationships with the community to one day share the gospel with them.

Check out our blog to read and see the church body in action!

We worked on many projects side by side with the people and were equally touched by all the children and warmth of the Haitian people.
